Some photos from the last weekend, the highlight had to be our swim at the beach, Kooky loves it so much and kept pointing to the sea when we were leaving, she wants to stay and play.

Little Kooky has turned 18 months old this week, *sigh* just the thought of it overwhelms me. What a big girl now...busy with all her wants...hehe...

Last Sunday, Hubs and I went to Vivocity to do some shopping, well actually I shopped, while Hubs and Kooky hung around the bookshop. We both forgot to give Kooky her snack before lunch so by the time we sat for lunch, she must have been really famished and began stuffing herself with her lunch, it was rice. Anyway, we let her self feed. She was feeding herself very quickly and i thought she performed not too badly by not spilling the rice. Must be because she was really hungry and wanted to put the rice in her mouth so she was pretty careful not to drop them. She still can't scoop the rice with her spoon herself, so I had to help her in that part. LOL. We are such horrible parents letting our baby starve until like this. :(

Kooky looking quite 'ah lian' in this get up! so adorable, I couldn't help laffing when i saw her in this get up! Hubs dressed her up, she was such a mini 'ah lian' toddling around the shopping mall last night, very cute. These days she likes to self feed, she will take whatever spoons, chopsticks, cups of water on the table and dribble them all over herself in an attempt to feed herself, for cups of water she tend to 'bottoms up' so will definitely spill water on herself, sometimes during meals outside even with the use of a bib, we have to change her clothes quite often. We have to stand by at least two outfits if its a long day if not she will be walking about with dirty clothes lol. She is also quite a little talker, babbling, singing to herself and sometimes using accurate words, notably the word 'open' cos she will always asks us to 'open' stuff for her to play, she will bring the item to you and say 'open' while giving you that kawaii look on her face while nodding her head. she has already stopped saying 'thank you' that she used to previously.

We were planning a picnic at the beach but it rained last weekend, so we had to think of an indoor place to bring Kooky. Hubs thought of the library. Great Idea!

We are now into the month of March and I am busier than ever with work, school and projects. Last weekend, I had to meet with the committee of Fetterfield. We will be doing the annual event this year after last years hiatus, due to bringing up baby. Kooky attended the meeting as well, of course. It was her nap time but she wouldn't sleep due to the excitement of having guests around. But no one was free to play with her, and so she started to clean with a towel she found lying around. So funny, she amazes me with the new things she learns to do daily. Also I've been too busy to go out and buy her new toys, feel like a bad mom sometimes.

Today, I noticed Kooky's lower right lateral incisor making its appearance! :) those pearlies have been working real hard. haha!

Yesterday at the STPI opening, Kooky had potato chips for the first time, salty, oily and dipped with cheese fondue. She loved it. We tried not to let her have too much, she refused to eat her own calcium fortified cookies and gave them to me instead.

For a long time now, Kooky has 4 upper teeth and 2 lower teeth. I think she may be teething now and I can't wait to watch her dive those into a crunchy apple.

Happy Valentines Day! Had a crazy week at work so was unable to plan a romantic Valentines Day. We started with an early morning appointment at the polyclinic for Kooky's MMR injection. She cried a little bit and did not struggle much, such a sweetie. Then we bought our breakfasts and had it at the beach. so lovely. We saw many dating couples doing the romantic Valentines Day thing. Hubs took Kooky for a 2 hour bicycle ride so I took the time to read my book. Nice! He bumped into a couple of friends along the way and we ended up having a late lunch at Waraku with Tamares, who lives in Marine Parade.


Look at me on a Saturday morning, a little hungover and a lack of sleep from the previous work week.

Anyway, that evening me and Kooky went to take a very long walk together with my Sis's family and my Bro's family, so fun! Between the 3 of us, we have a total of 6 children together. We started at Horts Park with the canopy walk, which is like torture. Goodness! But we managed, I think we arrived at some park where there was a toilet and a drinks vending machine. We stopped for a break. Then we continued to Henderson Waves which is so nice to be on. Took some pictures here. Later we continued the walk to Mount Faber. We thought of taking the cable car ride to HabourFront but decided not to. We walked through Mount Faber, all the way to Habourfront MRT station, it was amazing. Hope to do it again. Luckily I decided not to bring the stroller and ergo-ed Kooky instead. There were lots of steps along the way, much easier to ergo, although a bit warm and sweaty but less trouble. We went to Vivocity for our dinner. Too bad Hubs didn't join us and wanted to do something else instead.

Oh wow, Bibik just told me that Kooky had said "thank you" to her the other day. This really takes the cake and beats when she asks me "go where?" when Hubs ups and leaves the room. She is almost 16 months old now and is at that age where she really picks things up fast. But with the good things, she also does pick up a bad thing or two, but I can't remember what they are right now, so it must be true that parents can only see the good in their child. hmmmm.....

Happy Chinese New Year!

This week we went to Botanic Gardens again. This is the third time this month we've gone there for breakfast and RnR. I think we are overdoing the gardens but its still enjoyable nonetheless. Off with the shoes again. This time we went with some friends and Kooky had some bigger boys and girls to play with. Hope they enjoyed the fresh air while they run after the ball across the patch of grass over and over again. When it came to feeding fish, Kooky eats the bread herself instead. Now I know how much she loves bread.

After that we went to Toys R Us to buy bottle of bubbles for Kooky and a kite for hubs. Then it was Sushi Tei for lunch, Kooky is becoming more and more difficult to feed. Wonder how come Bibik has no problems feeding her? After lunch it was a small spot of shopping while Kooky naps in her stroller.
